today in my 1pm lecture, there was a student (she's overage one la) who actually brought her child into the lecture hall together with her! initially the child (i cant tell if its boy or girl) quietly sit in his/her pram... den slowly started to make some noise... a child's noise is very obviously "child" one lor... u know for sure its not the noisy students on the top row who are making the noise.. haa... den slow the child's noise became louder... to a point when the lecturer also dunno what to do.. haa.. den finally the mother-student publicly apologise and go away wif the child... i thought she went out la... but after a while u start hearing the child make noise again.. haha! she was actually standing at the doorway (like a small corridor) - like, as if we cant see them we will not hear them lor... den after tat the child really start to make a lot of loud noises den the mother-student finally left the room...
aiyo... so u see, ang mos also can be very bu4 zhi4 dong4 one... there's actually a child care centre in the uni for students and staff to leave their children there one lor... to me, i think its juz inappropriate la... if a mother wants to study, she should leave the child in someone's care den go to sch without any burden mah... if the mother wants to take care of the child, should juz defer her students until the child is bigger and more independent lor... but i think, by the time i become a mother, i think i wldn't even wanna study liao lor...

juz had my 1st lecture for semester 2 today... i feel even more convinced that im in the wrong course now... haa... turns out that i like marketing much more than PR, and this lec juz reinforced that thinking again... :P

i bought a helmet to cycle kezia's bicycle to sch... wah, actually cycling to sch is very tiring lor.. not relaxed kind one... my upper thighs feel so tight now... but after gettting the bicycle, i start to think maybe its a better idea to walk or juz take bus... haa... cos if i cycle means i need to wear shoes and carry backpack - tat means i cant wear my nice heels and display all my pretty bags... so y'day i counted how many weeks i haf to go to sch to calculate whether a weekly, monthly or 10 trips saver bus tic will be more worth... wah! i only haf like 15 weeks rounded up lor!! sounds so fast... hee...

Debbie and I went to a pub in a backpacker hostel in Sydney, they got a live band which only had one guitarist who sing also and one violinist. Only 2 instruments can create such a great atmosphere that filled up the whole pub on that night. SInce then, I love to hear and youtube around to find some pop songs which played with violin/viola and guitar duet. And one of my childhood dream is to learn violin. Hope that I can fulfill it. Debbie know the basic of violin but long time didn't play. So I hope one day both of us can play the violin and guitar duet together. Either one play either of the instruments. Below is just a sample of how a viola and guitar duet playing pop song. If you find it nice, that time that live band played in that pub was superb!

today i went wif mark wee, mark tan and jace to QUT to do outreach - basically is approach the newbies in uni and invite them to our morning bbq this saturday... i managed to talk to 6 gals, got 3 phone numbers... hehh... ok la, not too bad... someone mentioned "so fast, last year you were being approached" - yea, reminds me of how fast and slow time pass - fast cos yea, really one sem has passed! but slow cos i still got 1 whole year before returning to singapore for good... makes me miss billy and my family again... so tonite i gave them a call... hee... so nice to complain to my mother (about - of cos about my previous landlord lor) and to hear billy talk about anything... hee...
tonite jace and kezia were watching dvd, so i cldn't catch simpsons.. haa... after simpsons, nothing's really good on tv on a tues nite... :s So i stayed online lor... started planning my holidays.. hahah.. holidays for sep one week and 3 weeks inbtw after my exam period and before i fly back home... looks like i still wanna travel a lot of places leh... i need to save!!!! my aim is to cut my own spending budget by $100 per month.. hee... let's see if i can succeed... i miss billy!!! one hand i really wanna go back early so i can go be with him... but on the other hand, i really also wanna go travelling...!! ohhhhhh......

* Harry Potter project is done! *
Page One is having a Harry Potter 7 book launch on 21.07.07 (sat), so they wanna do a window display to attract more customers to line up on that day or can pre-order the book. So this is my job to do the window display. Before I left to go visit Debbie, I alredi start to plan. It's quite pressurize bcos it's a big project to me and somemore it's the last book of Harry Potter, so I have to put in effort to do it. Thank God it's done! The design in actual is far more nicer than what I digitally design on computer. All those props that I bought it's really a God's blessing. I bought lots of things in only a few places. It's a good experience for me bcos I like to go around singapore to find wulu places to buy wulu things. Also, it's my first time making witch broom. haa.. you know where I learn from? I oberved from those road swipper's broom which every morning the road swipper swip around my neighborhood with that broom. Also thank God for my colleagues and my boss's help in the set up. Without them, I cannot do it. And of course Debbie, she gave me lots of suggestions and ideas while I was brainstorming during the austrlia trip.

i tried my 1st attempt at surfing today! it was juz body surfing (the body leans on the board, not the stand on the board kind) but it was great fun!!! the sea was no doubt cold, by the time we finally got out of the sea, my fingers were numb... and the shower in the toilet was only cold water!! that was the scary part... haha...
last nite, by the time the noisy neighbours ended their party, i was still up using the computer... tonite is very quiet, yea, so i guess im ok with the noise around this house, its def much quieter than my old house, u dun hear the cars so loudly and u dun hear pple talking outside ur house (im on the 3rd level now)... but i think jace and kezia are more keen to move out, and they didnt ask me if i wanna move together cos i think they are intending to move to the south.. so probably means that my house hunt is not over and i'll still need to search and move by september... pray for me to have a nice house!! above ground level, modern building, close to the city! hee hee!!
this new house i finally can use webcam!! but seems like im not meeting billy so far... tmr la... i wanna see your face... hee... :)

i came to australia with juz... 5 months later, today, i moved housed with one car full of stuff...
Hee... the new house is BIGGER!! the room is BIGGER!! the bed is BIGGER!!! feels excellent, like im back to modern times!! its still cold, but not as cold as my previous old lousy house...
but my room is lacking in a mirror and i dun haf enuff shelfs... maybe i'll get one soon... i took 2 days to put things into bags and just half a day to take things out.. haha... so all my stuff are unpacked, and i tore down all the posters in the room to suit my style.. haa...

TOMOLO!! im going to the beach in gold coast!!! so exciting!!! it's gonna be the 1st time i go into the sea since i came to australia... the rips (waves) are sooooo cool in gold coast, i've never seen rips in all my life till i came here... honestly, they look scary too, like i'd drown in them... but yea, i sooooo wanna go into them!! i will keep safe, no worries!!! the only thing now is, what should i wear? haha... what do anybody wear to a beach on a winter day?

tonight is my last nite in dorchester street! Its not a nice house and definitely not a nice bed, I don't think i'll miss it.. haha!!!
Today's last chores in the house: -cooking -washing clothes -hang drying clothes -washing dishes -watching prime time tv etc...
while taking stuff out of the bathroom cupboard, i found a dead cockroach behind my stuff.. YUCKS!!! if anyone recalls, i've been battling cockroaches since the day i moved in... and yet on my final nite, i have to see a dead one again... :s
i packed up almost everything except the stuff in the fringe which i will pack tmr morning... i didnt bother to squeeze all my winter jackets and other stuff... so ends up i've got like lotss of bags... almost 10 i think, biggest being the suitcase and smallest being grocery bag... plus i got a mattress to move - it was originally jace's but i borrowed it for billy and michelle... he actually said he'd give it to me, but now that im moving to his place, haha... the mattress' going back too...
i shall not wait for billy to come back from dinner liao... gotta wake up early tmr to move house by 10am... so good nite billy! (and everyone else.. hee...)

Yesterday I went for haircut. After the haircut the cashier asked me,"You are Poly student right?" I told her I working alredi and that was my 5th time telling her. bcos usually I will go there and cut and they know me, but they cannot remember I am working alredi. Then today I went to Ikea to buy props for Page One Harry Potter book launch. Then I went to buy my favourite Ikea hot dog set. Then the auntie cashier asked me, "Just finish class from school ah?" haa ... Am I look boyish? haa...
Today is quite shiok bcos I bought lots of props. And you know what, this is my shiokiest time buy things in Ikea! bcos usually lots of things I wanna buy, but buy liao dunno where to put in my room. So today I bought almost all the things that I always wanna buy for the props! and one more shiok thing is, I GOT THE IKEA MEMBERSHIP CARD LIAO!!! bcos I bought alot of things so the amount enough for me to be their members. haa ...

Michelle left this morning! now my room has more space... hee... washed my 2 full loads of clothes today - accumulated since billy was here, till unicell camp, till michelle came and left. i still gotta do another load tmr... i really haf lotss of dirty clothes man...
started packing too! i didnt realised i brought so much bags with me - i still feel like not all my available bags here can match all my clothes leh... hee... anyway, bags alone take up more than half of the hong bai lan bag (the china bag) liao... hee... still got 1 and half more day to pack!!!

today i trekked up mt cootha with some friends from church and michelle! hahaha.... havent trekked in ages, but ok la... except for a dangerous slip that i almost pull mark down wif me.. :P everything went well... i managed to irritate pple with repeated "are we there yet?" question - but it was joke-ful irritation, im not a real "bug".. hehh... anyway, glad i managed to bring mich up to mt cootha, i do really think that the view is very good there... i wanted to bring billy up there when he was here but didnt haf chance... now i haf ample of time to start planning billy's next time here.. hee... which would be next year's jun or jul period ba.. hehh...
started the day at like 9am... we hanged out quite long at the summit, climbed down by the afternoon and spent the evening shopping at bit... michelle's last day here... den later mich said she's not feeling well so she stayed at home while i went to church to learn basic dancing!!! so fun!! learnt salsa and rumba... juz basic steps, i think... i mastered it quite well.. hee.. i learnt both guy and gal parts so i can teach billy when we meet again.. hee... and if he learns well, we can teach soar or antioch too.. hahaha... :P
online, check rental websites and emails... chey, i find that good places really get snatched up fast... or at least, places that i think are good do get snatched up fast.. i monitor the website every evening.. so monday evening i saw a room at catheral place (which is a very nice and modern like condo place) and i emailed the person immediately, today afternoon she replied me that its taken already... :s CHEY... there goes dream house number 2... dream house number 1 remains terribly expensive... :(

* Australia Trip Last Few Days *

went to see a very cool house today... is literally cool, got marble floor one.. haa.. winter and marble floor, know what i mean - cool... yea....
anyway, im going to move house this friday!!! yeah!! and i managed to negoitate wif my landlord to end my lease this friday so i'll pay and stay for exactly one week.... so i dun lost out and he dun gain from me! hahahahaha... our face-to-face arguement juz now was in a nutshell, heated, and both insisting own wants and nothing could be done unless one party gives in... so finally after much insulting me (and me speaking rudely back), mr landlord finally gives in to me... :P
i'll be moving to jace and kezia's house, juz one busway behind my current busway - but tat's zone 2 liao, so if i stay there for long term, i wonder if my transport fees will go up cos normally im juz within the zone 1 area... (its a brisbane bus transport thing) The thing is jace and kezia, both from church, are recently married - and i juz dun wanna be the lamp-post among them... yea, so see how it goes.. the plan is, i can stay there temporarily until i find somewhere else, or until all 3 of us decide to continue to rent that house when the lease ends in sept.
results are out!! and its good, thank God!! i already knew that there are 4 marketing subjects that i've done in TP but QUT didnt exempt me... one of which is IMC, to be done this coming semester... but what i didnt realise until now, is that the textbook is exactly the same as the one i used in TP for the IMC module too... which means im totally repeating myself!! oh crap... :s i think it might be too late for me to apply for exemption now... :s :s double sianx...

Today is 07.07.07. People make this day to have a campaign for a Climate in Crisis Live earth, it's to remind all of us to protect the earth because God asked us to manage all the living things on the earth. Today is a perfect day bcos is Triple 7! This reminds me all the wonderful things that God had made. The Heaven and earth, the sky and sea, Trees and plants, fruits and veggie, animals and insects, air and water, rainbow and sunlight, and human.
When Debbie and I went up to one of the look out point in Blue Mountains, I saw the wonders of God, the layout of the trees in the forest are so detail, plus the sky, the mountains, the wind, the bird and Debbie, the creation of the world is so wonderful, and quiet. Far from all the pressure of work, jealousy, envy, backstab, bla bla bla. That moment at the lookout point is one of the most enjoyable time that I spend with God.

why do i must move house? cos im sick of being compromised in this small and old house - which is actually fine, everything works well, the wind doesnt blow the house away... but its compromised... and im feeling pathetic here, i miss billy, i miss home... so i think i should like in a better house to at least not live as pathetically as i feel...
so far, i called one person, but she didnt call me back as she said she would... fine... :s den i also emailed 2 other pple but they nv reply one... :s nevertheless, i still emailed another gal today about her room for rent, so i'll hope and pray for some response at least...
there's this couple (married one), who said i can move in wif them temporarily after my reat lease expires, so i wanna ask my landlord to terminate my lease another 4 days earlier.. cos if i stay till 19th, as how we 1st agreed, he's going to charge for another 2 more weeks, but in fact its only another 1 week and 4 days... so i refuse to let him gain 3 more weeks... either he's going to charge me 1 week 4 days (not 2 weeks) or let me move out this coming saturday... a lovesick gal is a selfish demanding gal... that couple whom i'll move in temporarily wif are undecided abt whether they'll continue renting their plc when their lease ends in sept, if they continue, den i can rent the room wif them together. the only thing is... they have 2 bathrooms, one of which they use as storeroom... i got tell them i pay a bit more, they clear tat bathroom and let me have one bathroom for myself, but they like unwilling leh.. i mean, the rent isnt like very cheap so i think since got 2 bathroom i should deserve to get one mah... but... they... hai... anyway, its juz a small matter, im thankful i can stay there temporarily...
my current housemate was also very nice, she asked me if i found my new place yet, i say havent, and she also offered me to stay wif her in her room temporarily if i really cannot find - and she'll hide me secretly, not telling the landlord.. haa... tat was very sweet of her, but i say no liao, i'll go to that couple's place ba...

bittersweetness describes what i feel now... my "hang-over" is getting better, although i still miss u very much... i feel extra emotional also because i feel like all this started from me too... it was my idea to come australia to study, knowing that we'd be apart of 1.5yrs - but i saw that as a very short time compared to our 8 years of seeing each other. now i know that despite 8 years of dating, 6 months of not being together is even too much to bear... to think that we even intially planned for neither of me to fly back nor u to fly over during this jun-jul holiday... thank God u decided to come afterall. the 2 weeks of being wif u in australia had been my best experience here so far... i realised that no matter how cool the places are, when i go to the places ard brisbane again with you beside and holding your hands - everything become even more beautiful and perfect... today i brought michelle to the museum and art gallery too - but i juz didnt feel as fun as when i went there wif you... i told her the same joke u told me about, while staring at the particular painting that was all juz black, but even after i spoke it, i found it not funny at all... :( Although seeing u again after 4 months of being apart and knowing that our next meeting is going to be 5 months later makes me miss u even more, i am really glad you came.

After my Brisbane trip, I realised why my parents like to cook dinner together. I think throughout my whole life, that's my 1st time really cook some dishes. But it's my happiest and satisfied one bcos is my first time cook steak, big sausage, mushroom and fried eggs with Debbie's help. She baked potatoes, make cream soup and dinner list setter. And in the end the food were super nice. The steaks taste wonderful. That's one of our wonderful time do something together in Brisbane. Unforgettable.

* Australia Trip - Sydney Day 2 *

I never been so ill since after I got my high fever when I was a baby. After I landed on Thursday night in Singapore, I still feel ok but the weather just a bit warm that's all. Then friday after lunch in the office, my whole face turn red and heat up. My colleague thought I was drunk. So I took my temperature when I got home, it was 37.8 degree. I thought was ok but my sore throat made me uncomfortable. Then I ran to see doc and he said it's justa light fever and sore throat, so don't have to worry. Then I took his medicine and went to sleep. But on Saturday afternoon ( I woke up around 12.30pm .. hee... ) My temperature went up to 38.6 degree. I thought it's ok and I had my medicine. So I just use the ice bag try to lower down my temperature. But at night when I was with Glowing, I felt not very well. And luckily I waited for KaHei to accompany me home. I suffered the whole journey back home. Dizzy, sore throat and felt like vomitting. But I endured, try not to vomit out, then reach Tampines, my vomit feeling gone. Then I dive into my bed and rest. Then my parents came in and asked me to take the temperature again, and it's went up to 39.5 degree. Then my dad quickly drove me to some mid night clinic, thank God we finally found one which closed at 2am. So the doctor gave me some powerful medicine and 2 days of MC, then I had the medicine and sleep. Thank God the medicine is so powerful, the temperature drop to 36.5 degree, so that i can go Sunday Service. Then I thought the fever was over, so I didn't take the fever medicine, then when I reach home, my temperature went back up to 38.9 degree. Then I immediately took the fever medicine and now the temperature is 37 degree. But I still feel dizzy and stone bcos of the strong medicine. Thank God I didn't kanna Dengie. I think the illness so serious is beside ill and I think is also bcos I miss Debbie ba. Bcos I worried she will also fall sick bcos of the cold weather, but thank God she is fine.

im still having a "hang over" of billy-ness... its so nice to be near him again... im jus being super uncontrollablly emotional, very throw face leh... aiyo.. but i cant help it... juz came back from unicell fellowship camp... since the day i accepted Christ, every church camp or retreat i attended always had billy in it together - be it before we started dating or after... it feels very different, and saddening to realise that cos it starts me missing billy more again... but the preacher was very good and inspiring... talked abt more of that another time... im too hung over now... michelle, companion who went to ireland wif me is coming to stay wif me in brisbane tmr, i scared i throw face in my hang over mode.. haa... but very uncontrollable...haiyo haiyo...
our 2 weeks together, he made me see the beauty in many things/places that initially looked very ordinary to me... we cooked a few meals, most of which he cooked... he made me a number of breakfasts while i was still nuai-ing in bed... and he washed our dishes too... i was sooooo pampered... hee...! after he left, i didnt realise it until hours later, like when the day almost ended, that he even twirled my wires neatly for me - cos i sort of juz threw all my phone and battery charger wires, laptop wire and hairdryer wire in a random pile on the floor... but billy was so attentive to help me tidy that mess up... he even twirled the wires of my ipod shuffle... soooo sweet... hee...
