* Indescribable by Chris Tomlin *

From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
You are amazing God

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
Incomparable, unchangeable
You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same
You are amazing God
You are amazing God

* toowoomba flower festival *
Y'day i woke up at 6.30am in order to leave home at 7pm to go to another town near brisbane called toowoomba to see flowers... haha!! the literal meaning of this outing is really that lame, but the day turned out fine... hee...

its an annual flower festival and homes compete to win the best garden houses... we were able to go inside the winning home garden - which was as huge as a park... and the flowers were really amazingly pretty! and of cos, my most hated bees and other flies were all ard... but i guess there were probably more flowers than humans so the bees and flies didnt bother us much... haha...! album at aussiedeb.shutterfly.com .. actually i cant really decide, but i think i do like daisies more...

y'day in the car, Alisha from Taiwan was telling us she used to stay at a college hostel which was juz opposite wang li hom's house!!!!!! THAT IS SOOOO COOL!!! haha... she say u'll be able to see li-hom sometimes, but mostly at very odd hours... the neighbourhood is quite used to his presence so its not like very difficult for him.. and i asked her if she cld see li-hom in shorts and top naked at his home.. haha... cos tats like the dress code for guys in billy's house mah (so i assume its a man's thing!) and she say she nv saw but she sometimes see him in shorts and tee at home.. wah saz!! and he is sooo not gay lor... he nv bring gals home, but he is sooo NOT gay! haha... she say in taiwan always got rumours abt him and other gal stars one... den last nite juz before falling asleep, i was thinking what would do if li-hom stayed in my neighbourhood!! i dun think i'll ever wanna move away!! haha!!

* Bling Bling Singapura!! *
came across some interesting sg data while doing my assignment on another topic... juz k-po and read and blogged... :P

Singapore millionaires (July 2007)
According to the recently released World Wealth Report, the number of millionaires in Singapore has increased by 21% to 67,000, making Singapore the fastest growing country for millionaires in the world, followed by India and Indonesia where the number of millionaires is growing at 20.5% and 16% respectively. Millionaires are those with more than US $1million worth of assets, excluding their primary residences. Some one-third of the millionaires (approximately 18,000 people) in Singapore are Indonesian living in the city-state. Singapore's population is about 4.5 million, with 1.48% of the population classified as millionaires.

Singaporeans will turn to family in times of need (June 2007)
According to a survey conducted by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, some 91% of Singaporeans would turn to first to their families when they face financial or other problems. However, besides falling birthrate and rising divorces, another problem for the institution of the family is the growing number of transnational marriages, which form one third of families in Singapore.

Singaporeans among the world's most weight conscious (March 2007) Deb says HAHA!!
Singaporeans are among the world's most weight-conscious people according to a United Nations report on the use of slimming pills. Singapore ranks fifth in per capita usage of appetite-suppressants called anorectics.

Singapore ranked one of the two least corrupt countries in Asia (March 2007)
Singapore and Hong Kong have been ranked the least corrupt places to do business in Asia, according to the annual survey by the Hong Kong based Political and Economic Risk Consultancy. Singapore was also least corrupt in last year's survey.

Singaporeans go for HDTV (Jan 2007) Deb says Woo-hoo!!
According to a survey by StarHub, 96% of Singaporeans are satisfied with the picture quality of HTTV, and four in five viewers. The launch of StarHub's service makes Singapore the first country in Southeast Asia to offer a commercial HDTV service. The Media Development Authority has been actively encouraging local content producers to create quality HD content for domestic and international markets. SingTel and MediaCorp plan to have a commercial HDTV launch later in 2007.

The Internet generation (Jan 2007)
According to a recent survey, 66% of Singaporean homes have access to the Internet and there is a rapidly expanding blogosphere. Half of all Singaporean teens aged 15 to 19, and 46% of 20-24 year-olds are on the Internet and spending time blogging or podcasting ie 120,000 young Singaporeans are reading and writing on web sites. Net usage is highest (90%) among children between 10 and 15 years old, a consequence of Singapore schools having one computer for every two students. Online shopping in Singapore is also on the rise with about a third of Internet users making online purchases in 2006. Worldwide end-users spent $1.16 trillion on information technology in 2006 and such IT spending is forecast to increase at a compound growth rate of 6.3%

Singapore advertising switches online (Dec 2006)
Google expects to more than double its advertising revenue from Singapore in 2006. Singapore is regarded as among the fastest growing areas in Asia Pacific for online advertising.

New clubs to improve leisure ambience (Dec 2006)

Six new entertainment outlets, including a restored power station, recently opened, signalling an intention to make Singapore more of an entertainment venue. The St. James Power Station has been turned into nine venues with a capacity of 5,000 people, while five outlets licensed by nightclub operator LifeBrandz, including Kandi Bar and Fashion Bar have also opened. Together with Singapore's most popular club, Zouk, and British-owned Ministry of Sound, these venues are, according to analysts, gradually transforming Singapore in terms of its night life appeal. However, Singapore still has a zero-tolerance policy to drugs, and homosexuality remains officially a crime.

Tourist survey results (Nov 2006) Deb says Woo-hoo-HOO!!
According to a recent survey of tourists, Singapore now ranks second in the world for the quality of its nightlife and dining, with only Italy ahead of it in that category. Categories covered included safety aspects, shopping experiences, night life and business-friendliness with Singapore in the top 10 in nine out of 20 categories. Singapore was second-best place for shopping, behind the United States but ahead of Italy and Japan, third-best country in the world to hold conferences, fifth for ease of doing business and seventh for safety.

New mall biggest event of the year (Oct 2006)
In terms of numbers and consumers impact, the biggest event in Singapore in 2006 was not the International Monetary Fund meeting or the city-state's first big international art show, but the opening of its largest shopping mall. Over 2 million people, equivalent to half the population, have shopped at VivoCity (as at Oct 27th) since it opened on Oct 7th, compared with about 20,000 delegates who attended the IMF-World Bank meetings in September and 400,000 visitors for Singapore's art biennale. Some 84% of people in Asia-Pacific go shopping once a month or more for 'something to do' or for entertainment, even if they do not need to buy anything, according to an AC Nielsen survey, compared with a global average of 74%. The survey found that 7% of Singaporeans go shopping twice a week or more just for something to do, ranking third after Hong Kongers (17%) and Thais (9%).

Wealthy shoppers like buying digital (Oct 2006)
Wealthy Singaporeans are the region's top shoppers, despite the fact that average monthly income of US$5,355 ($8,475) has hardly changed compared with 2005. According to Synovate's recent survey of the affluent top 20% income earners in 11 Asian markets, 51% of wealthy Singaporeans enjoy shopping – the highest number across all countries and well above the regional average of 38%. The survey found Singaporeans especially liked buying electronic gadgets and digital equipment. They had high ownership levels of products such as digital cameras, liquid crystal display TVs, MP3 players and mobile phones. Wealthy Singaporeans also travel more: over a third went overseas one or more times on business, up about 20% from last year. A third now own unit trusts, about 20% more than the previous year.

Social status drives fashion consumers (June 2006)
A quarter of Singapoream consumers polled by A C Nielsen said that they purchased American brand Ralph Lauren. At least one in 10 bought DKNY and Gucci. The most desired brand among Singaporeans was French fashion house, Louis Vuitton. According to researchers social status is a key consumer motivator. In Singapore, 64% of respondents believed that people who buy designer labels do so to project a particular social image. Another finding was that in Asia Pacific, as in America, respondents believe that designer brands have a significantly better quality than standard brands.
