2 extra graduation already paid for, now that my parents are canceling their flight...

one extra week of doing nothing now that i've already arranged all my farewells to happen before 2nd aug, which was when my parents were originally coming...

dad's health to worry about...

only one person (billy) to take advantage of luggage space, meaning a combined 40kg only!!!

3rd till 8th, no 9th July - melbourne trip!! 1st overseas holiday wif persis and any of my sac childhood mates... haa... the holiday continued into gold coast and brisbane where i was the unofficial tour guide and room host... hee... overall, it's been really nice!! and very fruitful... we had all the ups and down... falling sick, taking care of each other, expensive shopping, cheap shopping, getting lost, finding our way, even missing our flight and sleeping in the airport! who does all these things over jus 2 weeks of holidays... haa...!

What did i do in Melbourne - lots of shopping!! it's the australia stocktake sale, but we were kind of at the end of the sales but there were still some good bargains if u try hard enuff... my most expensive purchase was $25, and cheapest purchase $3!! on the average, i think the stuff i bought are abt $20!! haha... good rite...


Sunday - my mega shopping day

market shopping!! the pple in brisbane say u get better markets in sydney and melbourne - i think i prefer sydney's paddington market (last yr's trip) more than any of the melbourne markets visited, which includes queen victoria market (like a mega unclassified market), rose st artist market (artist and designer things), and the smith st's lost and found market (sells vintage and 2nd hand stuff).. and there's st kilda's sunday market, and the st kilda beach and area reminds me of surfer's paradise.. only surfer's is nicer! haa.. :P



can't help but compare melbourne with sydney (last yr's trip) - melbourne seems busier actually! much ruder people.... or at least, so i've met on the streets... sydney has more things to see - harbour bridge la, opera house, etc... melbourne, erm... some "artistic" things like a "sunken library" and a huge purse on the floor ba...



there's blue mountains in sydney - which is so easy to access by urself without a car, and there's great ocean road and the rocks formations in melbourne, which u must go either on a tour or self-drive...

Ida went about a week earlier to meet her fren Zi Yang there, and they got us a cheap great ocean road tour - only to realise when we actually went on the tour that it's a cheap china tour on a cheap and small bus with a lousy driver and conducted in chinese! haa... and the guy's chinese is not even good, got hong kong accent, gives me a headache man... but great ocean road was nice still - or at least, i found there are things that are nice abt it... and i stayed awake most of the time on the road so i saw much more than my friends..


persis was almost sleeping throughout...

Foodies!! "Spicy fish" is super duper nice!! its got the really spicy taste but u can still taste saltiness and other things so it's not overpowering... the fish is really fresh and u can taste the freshness, so it's not like other cheapstake ma-la dishes that uses poor quality meat and overpower the poor quality with chilli... it's really good... haa..



and then there was the mega buffet that was only $17.50 Jessica intro us on thurs nite when we arrived... the queue for food was so duper long, we jus took almost a lot of everything and filled the whole table wif food.. haa...



and of cos.. my most loved chocolates! by Koko Black and Max Brenner..

finally, there's the missing of flight on the 8th when we were supposed to leave melbourne.. it's really stupid... i lose a luggage and ran ard looking for it while neither persis nor i thought of checking in 1st... :s in fact, neither of us knew that we were going to miss our flight, cos we tot we had to check in 30 mins before take off, but in fact it was 45mins.. in the end, we missed our flight by 10mins!! 10 bloody mins..! can u believe it... den there was a lot of drama changing our flight, so in the end, thank god for Ida, we got Ida to help us buy online 2 new tickets that will take off 17 hours later...! :s Feeling so stupid about having to pay double fare, we didnt wanna go out of the airport again cos there's the getting out and getting there transport costs to pay if we did so, didnt wanna pay for another hotel nite either.. so we spent 5 hrs at Nandos and eventually found a chair near a power socket and watch movies on her computer, talked on the mobile with our own frens and finally fell asleep on the chair in the melbourne airport.. :s



lo and behold, we finally and eventually left melbourne the next day at 7am! we went for the check in at 5am ok... haa... and that marks the end of my memorable melbourne holiday!!
