* happy birthday billy! *
after putting 2 tablespoons of minced garlic into my veggies for the past 2 days and still feeling like crap, i decided it's time i try the boiled coke cold remedy that i've always heard about... except that i cant do that until tmr when i buy my $9.99 per kg ginger 1st... -.-

Coke cold remedy
  1. Slice your lemon and your ginger into thin slivers.
  2. Pour your coke into a saucepan, add your ginger and lemon.
  3. Simmer your coke mixture over medium heat for about ten minutes.
  4. Pour the hot coke into a mug, you can strain off the lemon and ginger if you want, but I like to leave them in the mug.
  5. Curl up under duvet and sip your drink.
But while searching online for boiled coke, i found something even more exciting... boiled sake!! haha!

Tamagozake (Japanese Eggnog)
Ingredients: for 1 serving
1 egg
180 mL sake
2 tsp sugar
(A little ginger juice from grated ginger root -- optional))

so maybe if sake's not expensive i ought to buy some too tmr! it's supposed to be an effective ancient japanese remedy!

and it's billy darling birthday!! happy birthday to the sweetest guy on earth!!

HHAAA!!!! Finally after so many searching and searching, I finally bought a first polaroid camera through Ebay!!! It's called Polaroid One Step Land Camera SX-70 Rainbow Mint. And the most shiok thing is, the camera worth S$14 but the shipping cost S$36, so I only pay S$50 only!!!! Got one time I saw a polaroid camera selling in a flee market Singapore, the seller sell at $200. Siao ah, so expensive. This is my first time buy thing from Ebay and I dunno whether can trust the seller or not bcos he just show the photos of the polaroid camera and said it is in very good condition. Then I was thinking, ok la, just $50 to try it out and haa.. I got it! HAHA!!! I'm going to get the polaroid film to try it out!!!!

* Saturday the 14th *
like having a belated friday the 13th... :s

i set my alarm last nite but i didnt set it to ring... :s huiyan's call at 10.10am woke me, 1st qn was "hey, where are u?" - i was like, what?! den it occurred to me that my alarm's supposed to ring to wake me to go for church worship practice at 10am... :s anyway, den i have to wash up do whatever and catch the bus so i said i'll be like there in an hour unless it's too late and prob i jus dun sing... anyway... the pple there reckoned i cld jus come so fine, i got out of bed...

timing wld have to perfect to the catch the st lucia bus from my change of bus in the city (the st lucia bus comes every half hourly), if not for the delay on the road because of street demonstration!! what a morning! i tot i was at a red light stop and i saw at the very far right a large crowd of pple walking slowly with banners that i cld really read from my distance.. den after i realised the "red light" is been longer than it's usual, i saw that crowd there starting to walk pass my bus!! and all the traffic on the road had to stop unless the petition walking pple passed!! arghh... anyway, they were lobbying gay rights... there were bikers, children, old pple, male, females, gays, lesbians, and a wolf amg them, to mention jus a few...

and hence i missed my 11.07am bus and the next one leaves at 11.37... super diao now.... reached church at like 11.50am... and left, cos they finished practising everything, after 2 songs at 12pm past... DIAO........ got a ride to the city, i jus wanted to buy lunch and contact lens solution, den while waiting for my 12.30pm bus back home, i realised my keys are not in my bag!! ARGHH... so i walked ard the city to all the spots i've walked by trying to find my keys... in the end i didnt, and my waited for another 20 more mins for the next bus... while waiting, i also noticed my kripsty kreme donuts (which were meant for after lunch snacking!) was given to me wrongly... arghh... i wanted original glazed and cinnamon but was given choc tradition and cinnamon...!! HAI~~~~~

reached home, and AMANDA'S LEFT THE HOUSE!!! super duper diao now...!! so i called my her, she said she'll cut a key and come back for me in about 15mins (i think she took slightly longer but tat's fine).. so i continued search the route i walk out to the bus stop from home to see if i dropped my keys there but NO LUCK... den i went back, sat outside our garage and ate my lunch under the sun... and 2 neighbours caught me.... and one (my friendly couple neighbours right beside) offered their house for me, haha... which of cos, i paiseh-ly thanked and den rejected... at least there are nice people ard... arghh... :s

saturday the 14th huh... i'm not stepping out of my house until tmr...!

* 8 cheap ways to shut the kids up when you're driving *
Driving with kids can drive you out of your mind.
Worse than that, it can drive you into a ditch or a tree or head-on into another car.

The trick is to do something about it before you leave. Later may be too late.
Here are 8 possibitities:

1. Before you start out on a trip, go to the dime store and buy some soft toys, coloring books, magic slates, games or puzzles. Wrap them individuaIJy and give them out along the way.

2. Make the oldest kid the Navigator. Go over the map with him, mark the route, and let him watch for road signs, towns, rivers and places' of interest. (This is an especially good idea if you're not too good at it yourself.)

3. Have the kids keep a Scrap Book of the trip. When you stop, let them collect postcards, match covers, menus and other souvenirs. When they get back in the car, they can paste them in the Scrap Book.

4.Play a game called Count Bumps. The kids cover their eyes and count the bumps the car goes over. (Make a rule that they nave to count to themselves, not out loud.)

5. When they get tired of counting bumps, get them to count something else. Anything else. Red cars. Blue cars. Police cars. Stars. Women drivers. Anything. Anything.

6. Take along a Junk: Box. It can be a shoe box full of spools, string, a magnifying glass, pipe cleaners, any old things. The kids will make up their own games to play with the junk.

7. Make a bed in the back for naps. You can do this easily by putting suitcases on the floor to level with the seat. (Whatever you do, don't forget favorite blankets and pillows.)

8. Suggest a game of Keep Quiet. Whoever keeps quiet longest wins.
If you have some pet ways of your own (leaving the kids at home doesn't count), let us in on them. Send them to Mobil, 150 East 42nd Street, New York, N. Y. 10017 and maybe we'll pass them along in another ad.

* betrayal *
I have betrayed my many years of love, Coke, for Pepsi because of a $3 difference deal... i've broken my loyalty! I've betrayed tat long-established relationship! Does customer loyalty really exist? Does marketing really work? DEN WHY AM I STUDYING IT?!
