Debbie and I went to a pub in a backpacker hostel in Sydney, they got a live band which only had one guitarist who sing also and one violinist. Only 2 instruments can create such a great atmosphere that filled up the whole pub on that night. SInce then, I love to hear and youtube around to find some pop songs which played with violin/viola and guitar duet. And one of my childhood dream is to learn violin. Hope that I can fulfill it. Debbie know the basic of violin but long time didn't play. So I hope one day both of us can play the violin and guitar duet together. Either one play either of the instruments. Below is just a sample of how a viola and guitar duet playing pop song. If you find it nice, that time that live band played in that pub was superb!
